Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2022 - Educational Qualifications

Name of the Post - Educational Qualifications

1. Navik (General Duty)

• 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

2. Navik (Domestic Branch)

• Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

3. Yantrik (Mechanical)

• Class 10th passed and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) (OR)
• Class 10th & Class 12th passed and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/ Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Indian Coast Guard Age Limit

The age limit for the posts of Navik (GD), Navik (DB), and Yantrik is a minimum of 18 Years and a maximum of 22 years (born between 1st May 2001 to 30th April 2005 both dates inclusive).

Indian Coast Guard Selection Process

The selection of candidates is based on an all-India order of merit based on their performance given below

Stage- I: Written Examination (Computer Based Online Examination), Biometric Recording, and Document Verification (Provisionally Pass or Fail)

Stage - II: Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification (Provisionally Pass or Fail), and Initial Medicals Examination

Stage - III: Document Verification (Provisionally Pass or Fail), Final Medicals at INS Chilka and Submission of Original Document, Police Verification, and Other Associated Forms.

Stage - IV: The candidates who clear Stage III and stand in merit as per the vacancies available will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka.

Application Fee

SC/ ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.

All other category candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 250/- through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ Maestro/ Rupay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI.
