OPTCL Recruitment through GATE 2022: Apply for 30 Management Trainee Posts

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited, OPTCL has invited applications from candidates to apply for Management Trainee posts. Eligible candidates may apply online through the official site of OPTCL at optcl.co.in. This recruitment drive will fill up 30 posts in the organization.

Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a State owned Power utility in Odisha is engaged in the business of Transmission of electricity with a vision to emerge as one of the leading power utilities in the country in Transmission space. The present asset value of the Corporation is about is 8740 Crores. OPTCL operates in the entire state with around 2620 regular manpower, deployed in different Grid Sub-stations situated all over Odisha. OPTCL has vast and robust transmission network of 180 sub-stations ranging from 132 KV to 400 KV and more than 15796 ckt kms of transmission line. OPTCL also undertakes various projects on behalf of state and central Government.It has major plans for expansion by adopting newer and greener technologies. OPTCL is looking for young, dynamic and committed professionals to be inducted as Trainees in Electrical discipline.

GATE 2022 or need extension of joining time in case of selection need not apply.

Out of the total 30 number of vacancies mentioned above, the reservation of vacancies in respect

of Ex-Serviceman and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are given below. Candidates belonging

to Ex-Serviceman and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (whose permanent disabilities is 40%

and more) shall be adjusted against the categories to which they belongs.

The PwBD certificate is subject to verification of the candidate by the prescribed medical board

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have appeared and qualified in GATE 2022 conducted by IITs and marks out of 100 to be mentioned while applying. The qualifying marks declared by the GATE 2022 organizing body will be considered.

Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with at least 60% marks or passed with minimum 50% marks in Section-A & B of IE (India) in the concerned subject. Age limit should be between 21 years to 32 years.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the marks obtained (out of 100) in the Electrical Engineering subject paper of GATE 2022 and personal interview. Candidates shortlisted for personal interview will be required to bring the documents mentioned in their interview call letter.

Application fee

Unreserved/SEBC category candidates will have to pay ₹1180/- as application fee and SC/ST/PWBD category candidates ₹590/- as application fee.
